The Beechcraft King Air is an American made aircraft designed originally for its utility capabilities. With a Twin-turboprop engine design it has provided reliability since 1964 when the aircraft started production. With a wide range of variation and models depending on the mission the King air line can provide a solution to commercial, cargo, and business use.

The primary uses of the King Air are the United States Army & Navy, as well as the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force. During the administration of President Lyndon Johnson, the United States Air Force acquired a B90 King Air to transport him between Bergstrom Air Force Base and his home near Jonson City, Texas. During his time aboard the aircraft used the call sign Air Force One

Production of the Beechcraft Super King Air family began in 1974, and has been in continuous production since then, earning it the accomplishment of being the longest production run of any civilian turboprop in its class. The Beechcraft Super King Air family is part of a line of twin-turboprop aircraft produced by Beechcraft.

The King Air line comprises a number of model series that fall into four families: the Model 90 series, Model 100 series (these models comprising the King Air family), Model 200 series and Model 300 series. The latter two models were originally marketed as the “Super King Air” family, but the “Super” was dropped in 1996.

The Model B300 variant was produced and marketed as the King Air 350. This variant was a stretched model that featured two extra cabin windows each side of the forward fuselage, as well as added winglets.
