National Airlines Delivers Medical Supplies to Government of Haiti
On Thursday May 7th, 2020, The Government of Haiti welcomed National Airlines with open arms as their Boeing 747 arrived with medical and sanitary equipment on board. This flight is the first of many in a project coordinated by local officials to bring in more than $18 million worth of supplies to Haiti.
The supplies will be used to directly equip the citizens of Haiti with proper protective equipment to ensure that the hospitals and medical facilities were fully stocked in the event they experience a spike in COVID-19 cases.
Jovenel Moïse, the President of Haiti and Joseph Jouthe, the Prime Minister and Marie Greta Roy Clément The Minister of Public Health and Population all were at Toussaint Louverture International Airport to welcome the arrival of National Airlines Boeing 747-400.

Marie Greta Roy Clément, The Minister of Public Health and Population provided information on the 463 tons of equipment and supplies that are scheduled to arrive. The items will be arriving over the span of 5 flights over the next two weeks.
“We received 500 full beds, 100 respirators and their accessories, 100 trolleys, 250,000 visors to protect doctors, 200,000 surgical masks, 50,000 N95 masks for nursing staff, 137,760 protective glasses,”
The minister assured that the government will continue to receive equipment, including other beds, monitors, personal protective equipment. “The population through the press will be informed as and when the material is delivered,”
